Man threatens sales promoters with knife in Karlsruhe

A 44-year-old man allegedly threatened two sales promoters for a telecommunications provider with a knife in Karlsruhe's Weststadt district on Wednesday evening. After the men rang his apartment doorbell, he allegedly told them aggressively to leave and pointed the knife at them. During a further verbal confrontation, he allegedly made stabbing motions toward the fleeing promoters. He pushed one of them on stairs, causing a minor ankle injury. Police took the suspect into custody and subsequently brought him to a psychiatric facility.
