At a bus stop on Alfred-Delp-Straße in Troisdorf, a 40-year-old man allegedly threatened and insulted ambulance crew members with a knife on Monday, 5 October 2026. Passers-by had called the crew because the man appeared to need help. When the crew approached him, he refused to identify himself, drew a knife from his pocket and moved towards them. The crew called police at around 5:30 p.m.; a breath test indicated an alcohol level of about 1.9 per mille. Police held him until the following morning so he could sober up.
