Woman dies after knife attack in Troisdorf
A 30-year-old woman died on Saturday after a suspected knife attack in Troisdorf. Police found her critically injured and without vital signs in the stairwell of an apartment building at about 09:10. After resuscitation and emergency medical treatment, she was flown to hospital by helicopter, where she died shortly afterwards.
The woman's 29-year-old partner is suspected of attacking her with a knife in her apartment before calling emergency services. He was arrested at the scene, and investigators secured a suspected weapon in the apartment. A homicide unit and prosecutors are investigating on suspicion of a completed killing.
