Serious stab injury in altercation in Traunstein
A man was seriously injured in the upper body during a violent altercation involving several people near a shopping centre in Traunstein on 27 November. He sustained a stab injury, was taken to hospital and admitted as an inpatient; doctors said his injuries were not life-threatening. Other people suffered minor injuries. Criminal police, under the direction of the public prosecutor's office, are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide and dangerous bodily harm. The background, motive and precise sequence of events remain unclear.
