Investigation into alleged knife attacks and robberies in the Stuttgart area

According to police and prosecutors, a group is suspected of luring adult men to meetings in the Stuttgart and Esslingen area through an online platform. The suspects allegedly posed as young, mostly adult women and claimed to be younger shortly before the meetings.

At the meetings, changing groups of suspects allegedly attacked the men, in some cases robbed or raped them, and caused very serious injuries. They were often armed with knives, pepper spray, batons or firearms. Investigators currently attribute around 30 offences since late 2023 to the group, with cases increasing from June 2025.

Four suspects have been arrested during the investigation, and authorities are investigating another 18 people. Stuttgart prosecutors are investigating, among other allegations, attempted murder, attempted manslaughter and aggravated robbery.
