Woman fatally injured in Burgkirchen an der Alz
A woman died after suffering an injury to the neck area in Burgkirchen an der Alz on 3 December. At about 20:50, passers-by reported that a man had allegedly attacked a woman with a knife at Max-Planck-Platz. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the 50-year-old died at the scene. Police suspect her 47-year-old former partner, who is alleged to have fled before being arrested the following morning. An investigating judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of manslaughter.
