Man arrested after knife threat in Straubing
A 25-year-old man allegedly threatened his mother with a knife during an argument in a flat in Straubing. The woman was able to leave the apartment building uninjured and reach safety outside.
Because the man was armed, police called in special units, cordoned off the area and evacuated the building. Officers arrested him without resistance in the flat at about 7 p.m. After medical treatment, he was admitted to a specialist clinic, and investigators are examining, among other matters, an allegation of making threats.
