Man injured in knife attack in Berlin-Neukölln

A 33-year-old man was allegedly injured in the leg during a knife attack on Hobrechtstraße in Berlin-Neukölln at about 6 p.m. on 17 August. According to the investigation so far, a long-running conflict between two men escalated there. The injured man drew the attention of two public-order office employees by calling for help. The 38-year-old suspect allegedly stopped attacking him and fled. At the prosecution's request, the Tiergarten Local Court issued an arrest warrant; the suspect was arrested and was due to appear before an investigating judge. The homicide commission is investigating an attempted killing.
