Attempted kiosk robbery in Solingen: employee injured with utility knife
A young man is alleged to have demanded cash at a kiosk on Wupperstraße in Solingen at about 5:45 p.m. on 24 February. He threatened the 56-year-old employee with a utility knife, made stabbing motions toward her and injured her hand. He fled without any proceeds after failing to open the cash register. Police detained a minor suspect shortly afterwards, and a judge ordered pre-trial detention.
