Man remanded after knife threat on Augsburg tram
A 46-year-old man allegedly threatened and insulted an 18-year-old with a knife on tram line 2 near Königsplatz in Augsburg on the evening of 24 February. Witnesses called police at around 20:45. Officers found the man still on the tram and arrested him. Four knives and two pairs of scissors were seized from him. The man sustained minor injuries, while all other participants were uninjured. At the prosecution's request, an investigating judge ordered his remand in custody the following day; police are investigating, among other matters, alleged threats and insults.
