Man threatens police officers with knife during check in Siegen
During a traffic check on Rensbachstraße in Siegen, a 36-year-old moped rider pulled a knife and continued to make verbal threats against the police officers. The check took place at around 15:00 after he had driven on a road closed because of construction work. Officers subdued and restrained him; according to current information, he did not use the knife but struck out and tried to bite officers. Two male officers and one female officer were injured, and one officer was unable to continue working afterwards. The man was taken into custody, which a judge ordered. In addition to the folding knife, police secured another knife and other items from his backpack.
