Knife threat during dispute in Schwerin old town
An 18-year-old man allegedly threatened his former partner’s 20-year-old new partner with a knife during a relationship dispute in Schwerin’s old town. A 29-year-old witness who tried to help the threatened man was injured in a physical confrontation; the suspect is accused of striking the witness in the head. According to police, the 20-year-old prevented further attacks. The witness did not require medical treatment at the scene. Officers recovered a knife nearby, although its connection to the incident is still being examined. The suspect is under investigation for threats, assault and a weapons-law offence.
