Employees threatened with knife during supermarket robbery in Sankt Augustin
At about 19:30 on 17 January, a robbery took place at a supermarket on Kölnstraße in Sankt Augustin-Hangelar. An unidentified suspect threatened a female employee with a knife at the checkout area and demanded the contents of the till. After she fled to the rear of the store, he took several hundred euros from the cash register. A male employee tried to stop him but was also threatened with the knife. The suspect fled towards Richthofenstraße and escaped despite a search; no one was injured.
