Woman arrested after suspected knife attack on mother in Sachsen bei Ansbach
In Sachsen bei Ansbach, a 31-year-old woman is suspected of attacking her 70-year-old mother with a knife on the evening of 16 April 2026. The mother was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but her condition later stabilised. At around 21:30, witnesses found the injured woman on Am Römer street and alerted emergency dispatch. Police located the suspect nearby and provisionally detained her. Prosecutors applied for her provisional placement in a psychiatric hospital.
