Two men injured in knife dispute in Hoyerswerda
A 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute at Lipezker Platz in Hoyerswerda at about 7 p.m. on 7 January. The 36-year-old is alleged to have seriously injured the other man with a knife. The 40-year-old then also drew a knife and lightly injured his opponent.
The 40-year-old went to hospital for treatment. Officers arrested the 36-year-old near the scene. Police said he later threatened and insulted officers and resisted them while receiving medical care. Investigations into mutually committed dangerous bodily harm are ongoing.
