Man threatens federal police officers in Saarbrücken with utility knife

A 22-year-old man is alleged to have travelled without a ticket on a train from Merzig to Saarbrücken on Wednesday morning. When federal police officers were called to the train stop in Saarbrücken, he allegedly resisted police measures. During an identity check, he pulled a utility knife from his pocket and repeatedly threatened the officers without injuring them. Federal police are investigating, including on suspicion of fare evasion and resisting law enforcement officers.
