Man suspected of threatening Rostock supermarket staff with knife
A 33-year-old man allegedly threatened supermarket employees with a knife in Rostock’s Schmarl district after they found him inside despite a ban from the premises and escorted him out. The report places the callout at about 19:15 on Stephan-Jantzen-Ring, but gives conflicting weekday and date information for the incident. After staff locked the entrance, he allegedly kicked the door repeatedly, causing an estimated €500 in damage. He left but was found by police shortly afterwards. Officers initially found no knife on him or nearby. A breath test showed an alcohol level of 2.43 per mille, and prosecutors ordered a blood sample. During police transport, he allegedly insulted and threatened officers and spat at them.
