Man remanded after attack in Bad Neuenahr
Two men became involved in an argument at a restaurant in Bad Neuenahr during the night from 11 to 12 October. A 25-year-old man allegedly injured his 36-year-old opponent so seriously with a knife or a similarly dangerous object that the victim temporarily faced a threat to his life and required emergency surgery. Police provisionally detained the suspect later that day. Following a court appearance, he was remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide while investigators continue to examine the sequence of events and background.
