Knife attack at shooting festival in Rheinberg
A 28-year-old man was attacked with a knife and seriously injured at a shooting festival in Rheinberg at about 21:55 on 1 August. Witnesses said he had previously been involved in a dispute with three people. The attacker then fled with two other people.
Emergency personnel and an emergency doctor took the injured man to hospital. Police secured the suspected weapon. Prosecutors are treating the case as attempted homicide, and a homicide unit is investigating.
