Woman killed after alleged knife attack in Euskirchen
A 46-year-old woman died after an alleged knife attack in an apartment in Euskirchen. Her 45-year-old partner made an emergency call on the evening of 2 August. Emergency responders found him seriously injured and the woman unresponsive; medical personnel could only establish her death.
According to the current investigation, the man is alleged to have attacked his partner with a knife and then injured himself. He was provisionally detained and taken to hospital for intensive medical care. A homicide unit and prosecutors are continuing the investigation.
