Two men seriously injured in knife attack outside Regenstauf nightclub

A 34-year-old man is alleged to have seriously injured two visitors with a knife outside a nightclub in Regenstauf in the early hours of 1 November. Police said he and his 53-year-old companion had argued with security staff beforehand, and that he then attempted to attack a security employee with the knife. The employee fended off the attack.

The suspect is then alleged to have inflicted cut and stab injuries on two men aged 31 and 49 without warning. Both were taken to hospital. He initially fled but was arrested shortly afterwards. Criminal police are investigating in coordination with prosecutors; the sequence of events and possible background remain under investigation.
