Man threatens store detective with knife in Regensburg
A 37-year-old man is alleged to have stolen perfume from a drugstore in central Regensburg at around 11:15 a.m. on 19 January. A physical confrontation followed after a store detective confronted him as he left the shop. The man fled without the backpack containing the goods. At Vier-Eimer-Platz, he is alleged to have threatened the detective with a knife before continuing to flee. No one was injured. Police arrested him a few hours later in northern Regensburg; he was taken to prison that same day under a warrant in another case. Criminal police are investigating.
