Man flees after stabbing injuries in Recklinghausen
Following a dispute in an apartment on Bochumer Straße in Recklinghausen, a 28-year-old man allegedly inflicted two stab wounds on a 50-year-old man. The confrontation later moved to the pavement outside the apartment building.
Before that, the suspect allegedly struck his former partner and injured their child. The 50-year-old was taken first by ambulance and then by helicopter to another hospital; at first, a risk to his life could not be ruled out. The woman and child were also taken to hospital, but neither was considered to be in danger of death.
The suspect fled in a car. Police are searching for him and a homicide investigation unit has been assigned to the case.
