Two men injured in altercation in Essen
On 9 February, two men became involved in an initial verbal dispute with several people near Altenessener Straße and Viehofer Platz in Essen. As the situation escalated, one participant used a bladed and stabbing weapon and slightly injured the two men, aged 20 and 21. The suspects initially fled. A 21-year-old suspect was arrested on 17 February, and a judge ordered pre-trial detention the following day on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
