Young man threatened with knife and robbed in Ratingen
A 19-year-old was robbed and injured by four unknown men in Ratingen during the night of 14 February. Police said the men stopped him on a pavement on Düsseldorfer Straße after he got off at Felderhof stop. They verbally threatened him with a knife, demanded valuables and took his wallet, phone and shoulder bag. The group then repeatedly struck him in the face. He escaped and alerted police, but an immediate search did not locate the suspects. His phone was later found nearby.
