Man injured with handsaw in Rastatt
A 46-year-old man was injured during an altercation near Sternenstraße and Maxstraße in Rastatt. According to the initial investigation, a 50-year-old suspect is alleged to have attacked the other man with pepper spray and injured him with a handsaw at about 12:30 p.m.
The two men are said to have argued earlier that morning. Emergency personnel treated the injured man and took him to a hospital. The suspect initially fled on foot and was later provisionally detained in an apartment building in the city centre. Police are continuing to investigate the background and exact sequence of events.
