21-year-old injured in knife attack in Potsdam

A 21-year-old man was lightly injured in a knife attack at a gravel pit lake in Potsdam on 19 June. Emergency services reported that he had suffered a stab wound to the chest. According to initial findings, the man had encountered the perpetrator by chance; police cited a conflict concerning the victim's relationship with an uninvolved third person as the background. Authorities identified a 26-year-old suspect through that person. He was provisionally arrested but released after further police measures. The Potsdam public prosecutor's office classified the offence as dangerous bodily harm.
