Man injured with kitchen knife during dispute in Potsdam

A 63-year-old man sustained a superficial upper-body injury during a dispute with his 44-year-old roommate in Potsdam. The two men, who share a room, had repeatedly argued on Saturday afternoon after previously peeling potatoes together. Police said they threatened each other with stabbing movements using kitchen knives; the 44-year-old struck his roommate and then called emergency services. The injured man received treatment at the scene and was subsequently admitted to hospital. Police are investigating the caller on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, and he was temporarily taken into custody because of his high alcohol level.
