Student critically injured with knife in Paderborn
A student was critically injured with a knife on 8 October in a sports hall at a continuing education centre on Fürstenweg in Paderborn. Police were notified at about 13:15, and the injured student underwent emergency surgery. The attacker initially fled the scene. A 25-year-old man from Paderborn later contacted police and was provisionally detained at about 14:00 near Padersee. According to initial information, he also attends the continuing education centre. The background to the attack remains under investigation.
