Man remanded after knife attack on former partner
Following an argument in Paderborn-Sennelager, a 24-year-old man is alleged to have injured his 25-year-old former partner in the face with a knife on the morning of 29 January. The woman suffered a deep cut from her forehead to her chin and was taken to a hospital in Bielefeld. Police said she will be left with substantial permanent facial disfigurement, although her eyesight was not affected. The man initially fled but was arrested shortly afterwards at municipal accommodation in Paderborn. A judge ordered him remanded in custody on 30 January.
