Man injured with knife during attempted bicycle robbery in Ostbevern
A 43-year-old cyclist was injured in the thigh with a knife during an attempted robbery near Ostbevern on Monday morning. According to initial investigations, a pedestrian stopped him on the cycle path along the L 830 from Milte toward Ostbevern and demanded his bicycle. During a subsequent physical confrontation, the unidentified suspect is said to have injured the man. The cyclist then went to his workplace and was taken to hospital by emergency personnel for further treatment. Police searched for the fleeing suspect, including with a service dog.
