Man threatens police officers with knife in Olpe
Police officers encountered a 31-year-old man in Dortmunder Straße in Olpe while he was with a woman. When the officers approached, he threatened them with a knife and moved towards them. Police fired two warning shots, moved the woman out of his reach and used pepper spray, after which the man dropped the knife. He was then overpowered and sustained minor injuries during the arrest. According to police, no other person was injured; the man was first taken to hospital and then to a psychiatric facility.
