Man arrested after serious stabbing injury in Cologne apartment building
A 30-year-old resident of an apartment building in Cologne-Blumenberg allegedly seriously injured a 39-year-old opponent with a pointed instrument at about 6 p.m. on 16 March. The injured man was found bleeding heavily on a nearby street and was taken to hospital by emergency services.
The confrontation was reportedly preceded by the injured man and several companions loudly demanding entry to the resident's flat and attacking the later suspect with pepper spray. Police arrested the 30-year-old in the apartment building. They also encountered another 39-year-old participant there who allegedly had brass knuckles. Investigations were opened against all those involved, and inquiries into the background continue.
