Patient approaches police with scissors at Offenbach hospital
Police officers were called to a hospital in Offenbach on Friday evening because a patient was allegedly causing a disturbance. According to police, the man swung a walking stick and handled a fire extinguisher as well as scissors.
After the highly agitated patient continued to approach officers with the scissors despite repeated requests, officers announced the use of a conducted energy device. When he did not respond, they deployed it, removed the scissors from him and ended the dangerous situation. The man sustained minor injuries from the device's probes and subsequently calmed down.
