Man allegedly threatened another man with a knife in Oelde
A 19-year-old allegedly threatened a 25-year-old with a knife in central Oelde on 23 December. Police said the older man had approached the younger man after he was alleged to have kicked warning barriers, leading to an argument. The older man is alleged to have struck the 19-year-old, and both men allegedly insulted each other.
Officers located the 19-year-old, who had initially fled, at the junction of Ennigerloher Straße and Von-Galen-Straße. Acting on the knife report, they brought him to the ground, restrained him and seized a kitchen knife from his trouser pocket. The man, who had a minor facial injury, was taken into custody to prevent further offences. Investigations were opened against both men.
