Two young men injured in knife attack in Oberhausen
Two 18-year-old men were injured with a knife during an altercation on Bahnhofstraße in Oberhausen-Sterkrade in the early hours of 7 June. Witnesses said a verbal argument with a minor suspect had begun at about 2:09 a.m. The suspect allegedly then struck the two men and injured them with the knife. The injured men were taken to hospital, and police said their injuries were not life-threatening. The suspect initially fled but was arrested at his home shortly afterwards. Police and prosecutors are investigating the background to the incident.
