A 60-year-old woman was threatened with a knife during a robbery in Oberhausen-Schmachtendorf on 3 February. Two young men initially asked her for money for a train ticket on Schmachtendorfer Straße. After she gave them cash, one of the men allegedly tried to take her wallet while threatening her with a knife. The woman knocked the knife from his hand, after which she was struck on the head several times with a hard object. Both suspects fled; police launched a search but did not find them.
