Teenager remanded in custody after knife attack in Nuremberg
A teenager was seriously injured in the upper body with a knife during an altercation involving several people in central Nuremberg. According to police, the injury was not life-threatening.
Police said the incident on 3 June was preceded by a dispute. During a subsequent encounter on Karolinenstraße, a teenager is alleged to have drawn a knife, injured another teenager and initially fled. The suspect was later provisionally detained. At the request of prosecutors, an investigating judge issued a remand order on 4 June on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. Investigators are continuing to examine the background and precise sequence of events.
