Two suspects arrested after serious knife injury
On the evening of 12 January, a 42-year-old man from Datteln was seriously injured with a knife at Raiffeisenplatz. Police arrested two suspects in Waltrop and Lünen: a minor and a 20-year-old man. Arrest warrants had been issued for both, and they were due to be brought before a magistrate on the day of their arrests. Searches led police to seize, among other items, a machete, pepper spray, drugs and clothing allegedly worn during the incident. The investigation in North Rhine-Westphalia was ongoing.
