Man seriously injured during fight at Essen (Oldb) station
Several young men became involved in a fight at Essen (Oldb) station on 17 April. According to police, a 22-year-old man was seriously injured with an unrecovered weapon described as a knife and was taken to hospital.
The people involved had previously travelled in two groups on a regional train from Cloppenburg to Essen (Oldb). A 50-year-old train attendant was pushed aside while the group left a train toilet and suffered minor injuries. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and bodily harm against the train attendant.
