Attempted knife robbery in Neuwied
During the night before 20 July, a man attempted to obtain takings from a burger restaurant in central Neuwied while displaying a knife. When an employee did not react immediately, he abandoned the attempt and fled on foot. A witness later recognised him in the city. Police provisionally detained the intoxicated 52-year-old, who was due to be brought before a remand judge.
