Knife attack in Neuss treated as attempted homicide
A homicide squad is investigating after a knife attack on Rilkestraße in Neuss. During the night before 9 August, a 21-year-old man allegedly injured another 21-year-old man following an initially verbal confrontation.
The injured man was taken to hospital. Police said his condition was stable after he had initially been in life-threatening condition. The suspect initially fled but was arrested near the scene during an immediate search. The Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office is treating the case as attempted homicide, while the weapon was still being sought.
