Knife found during arrest after suspected robbery extortion in Neukölln

On the evening of 29 September 2025, two men allegedly demanded cash from a 36-year-old man on Karl-Marx-Straße in Neukölln and inflicted cuts to his face and neck. After a witness alerted police, officers arrested the two suspects, aged 30 and 33.

During the arrest, the 30-year-old punched an officer in the face and then put up considerable resistance. He was holding a half-open folding knife in his left hand and released it only after officers struck his hand. Three officers were injured; one was taken to hospital with a suspected nasal fracture. The men were due to be brought before a remand judge, and the investigation was ongoing.
