Man allegedly attacked wife with awl in Naumburg
A 43-year-old man allegedly threatened his estranged wife with an awl on 19 March on Schönburger-Straße in Naumburg. According to police, he stabbed towards her several times during an argument, striking her arm, hand and leg. The woman was not injured, but her clothing was damaged.
A witness took the implement away from the man and restrained him until police arrived. Police said the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and that his admission to psychiatric care was arranged. A no-contact and exclusion order was also issued to protect the woman.
