Man seriously injured in alleged Munich stabbing
A 39-year-old man was seriously injured by several alleged knife stabs to the chest in Munich and underwent emergency surgery. On the evening of Tuesday, 20 October 2026, he had gone to the apartment of a 34-year-old man; an argument escalated outside the building. The 34-year-old allegedly stabbed him and then returned to his apartment. The injured man called police himself. Ten patrol cars responded, and he was taken to hospital after receiving initial treatment. The suspect was arrested without resistance and was due to appear before a judge. Police found a knife in his apartment that may have been the weapon; criminal investigators are examining the case as attempted manslaughter. No motive had been established.
