Tourist injured with knife at Oktoberfest
A 32-year-old tourist sustained a cut to his forearm from a knife during a dispute in a tent at Munich’s Oktoberfest. Medics stitched the wound at the scene. According to police, a 24-year-old man had earlier harassed a group of women and tried to push one of them. When the tourist intervened, a scuffle followed in which the man allegedly picked up a knife used for eating chicken. Officers temporarily detained the suspect on Sunday and ordered a blood sample; he was released after a period in custody. Munich criminal police are investigating suspected aggravated assault.
