Federal police are looking for a man suspected of threatening a 20-year-old man with a knife on platform 31 at Munich Central Station at about 9:30 p.m. on 22 September 2026. The two had argued beforehand. The suspect, estimated to be 35 to 45 years old, then boarded regional express RE 72 toward Memmingen with a female companion. Following another argument on the train, he allegedly struck a passenger estimated to be 18 to 25 years old in the face. The first man notified federal police after getting off at Türkheim; the suspect and his companion left the train at Buchloe, and the second passenger got off at Memmingen. Federal police are investigating suspected threats and bodily harm and are seeking the suspect, the second passenger and other witnesses.
