Man threatened with knife at Heimeranplatz

On 12 April, a 30-year-old man is alleged to have threatened a 35-year-old man with a knife near Heimeranplatz S-Bahn station. The victim initially also reported that his bag had been stolen, but he was unable to provide specific details. Police therefore currently regard the matter as a threat.

Officers found both men at the station. As it could not be ruled out that the suspect still had a knife and he behaved aggressively, officers forced him to the ground after warning that they would use direct force; pepper spray was used. No knife was found in the initial search. It was later located and seized in a grassy area behind a building. The station was briefly closed during the search, disrupting rail and bus services. The man was reported to the authorities and later placed in psychiatric care because police suspected he posed a risk to others.
