Employee injured in knife attack at Munich shop

A 24-year-old woman is alleged to have attacked a 31-year-old employee with a kitchen knife at a retail shop in Munich's Ludwigvorstadt district on 26 January. After employees confronted her about items allegedly placed in her backpack, she is said to have stabbed in the man's direction with the knife. He avoided serious injury by stepping back and defending himself with one hand, but sustained cut and stab wounds.

The employee and two other female employees held the woman until police arrived. The 31-year-old received outpatient hospital treatment. The suspect was arrested and was due to be brought before an investigating judge.
