Man injured with kitchen knife in Bestwig
Two residents became involved in an argument and then a fight in an apartment building in Bestwig-Heringhausen on 26 January. A 44-year-old suspect is alleged to have then stabbed his 38-year-old opponent in the chest with a kitchen knife. The 38-year-old sustained a serious stab wound and was treated in hospital; police said his life was not in danger. The suspect was provisionally detained and released after police measures were completed. Criminal police investigations are continuing.
